Angelus Apatrida: debut video clip for "You Are Next"; Limited edition formats for new album "The Call" announced; Pre-sale bundle options launched!
Spanish Thrash Metallers ANGELUS APATRIDA are preparing to soon release a new studio album entitled "The Call" on April 24th in Spain and April 30th, 2012 all over Europe via Century Media Records. The album is already receiving great vibes at press and the band has now launched the album's first video clip for the dynamic opening track "You Are Next". ANGELUS APATRIDA had previously checked in to comment about the new album's opening song "You Are Next" and the material on "The Call" as follows: "We think that 'The Call' is a record that represents the wide variety of styles and elements in our music extremely well; every song stands alone strong and unique in its own way, making the album a whole piece that needs to be heard completely to get the full idea of the sound of the band. But, if we had to choose one song to represent the whole thing, it would be 'You Are Next' because, both lyrical and musically, it showcases the anger and fury we wanted to put into this album, and also reflects the step forward we feel we have made technically. It's a song that starts slowly and trying to capture the listener before exploding into a furious sonic assault."
The video video for "You Are Next" was produced with directors Sara Cort and Adriana Lorente, who had also worked on the band's previous video, "Blast Off", from the album "Clockwork" (which had entered the official sales charts in Spain on #44 and in Greece on #45 upon release in 2010), which can still be seen here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTpW2-_TQnQ
ANGELUS APATRIDA's new album has just been finished with the same creative team as their previous release, "Clockwork": It was again recorded in Moita, Portugal at Ultrasound Studio with producer Daniel Cardoso (Anneke Van Giersbergen, Anathema, etc.) and the striking artwork was handled by Gustavo Sazes / Abstrata (Arch Enemy, Krisiun, etc.).
