Firewind: Gold award for "Wall Of Sound" single in Sweden!!! New Gus G. signature amp released by Blackstar; Gus G. guitar-clinic announced for the US!
Freshly back from performing at Bang Your Head!!! And Masters Of Rock festivals in support of their current album release "Few Against Many", melodic Metallers FIREWIND played an intense hometown show in Thessaloniki on July 18th, at which they were honored with a Swedish gold award for their latest single, "Wall Of Sound". FIREWIND's Gus G. checked in to comment as follows: "What an epic show it was in Thessaloniki! It was our first open air headline show and the crowd was just awesome! The "Few Against Many" world tour couldn't have started better. We even got our first gold award for the single "Wall Of Sound" in Sweden, which came out with Sweden Rock Magazine! We're ready to rock the rest of the world now, keep checking back for tourdates that are being added around the world!"
"Wall Of Sound" was exclusively released in Sweden as physical single via Sweden Rock Magazine and each copy of the magazine contained the single's Digipak CD, including the album tracks "Wall Of Sound" and "Few Against Many" as well as a previously unreleased demo version of "Wall Of Sound".
Meanwhile, Blackstar Amplification is now unveiling a brand-new signature amp for FIREWIND's guitar-virtuoso and Ozzy Osbourne band member Gus G., the "Blackfire 200". Additionally, Gus G. has now announced that he will be doing clinics for Blackstar Amplification and ESP Guitars on four select US dates in August. The clinics are free to attend, but we recommend that you arrive early; there are a lot of people who want to get this intimate exchange with Gus, where he'll be playing tracks from the new FIREWIND album, answering your questions, and signing autographs. "Few Against Many", was mixed by Jason Suecof & Eyal Levi at Audiohammer Studios (Trivium, All That Remains, Death Angel, etc.) and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Mastodon, Hatebreed, Symphony X, etc.). The iconic album's artwork was once again created by FIREWIND's longtime partner in all design matters, Gustavo Sazes / www.abstrata.net (Arch Enemy, Angra, Dream Evil, etc.). While the album's standard version is available in the CD format as well as LP and also as Digital Download, "Few Against Many" is also released as limited edition Digipak CD with two bonus tracks.
