Dark Fortress: new video clip online; new album OUT NOW; more touring in February 2010!
German black metal act DARK FORTRESS have just released their brand-new album “Ylem” all over Europe and the band will be spreading utter darkness all across Europe on a headlining tour in February 2010. The band will be supported by doomsters Serpentcult as well as fellow German black metal hopefuls Farsot, so see below for the full list of dates and be there!
Furthermore, the band has just launched a new video clip for the song “Hirudineans” taken from the new album “Ylem”, watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x401frOxlAM
More songs from “Ylem” can be heard at http://www.myspace.com/darkfortress
The album’s limited first-pressing CD also includes a special O-card packaging as well as the bonus track “Sycamore Trees”, a cover version of a song originally written by Angelo Badalamenti and sung by Jazz vocalist Jimmy Scott. The original version was part of the soundtrack for the movie “Twin Peaks – Fire Walk With Me” by David Lynch.
Press reactions on “Ylem”:
…a collection of incredibly inventive black metal songs. …this ominous work is perfect for the long, bleak winter nights.
“Ylem” is such a sinister and diverse opus…every open minded metal head with a soft spot for dark sounds should check this out…”
