No matter if it's hobby hunters in our regions, tourists going hunting in Africa or the ineffable whalers that Sea Shepherd are luckily setting more and more bounds to - Theodor Heuss' (first President of the Federal Republic of Germany) words are universal: 'Hunting is merely a cowardly circumlocution for the especially cowardly murder of fellow creatures who don't have a chance. Edition 3CD Box Set of the record will feature an alternative mix, called 'Blizzard Over England Mix' by nobody less than Colin Richardson. The story behind the strange name for the mix: We were ready to fly over to England and mix the record, but there was a huge snow chaos in the UK-- no planes, no trains, roads blocked-- no way to get there. Colin was even snowed in and could not get out of the studio at all. So he mixed in almost absolute isolation and brought in a lot of interesting thoughts - without us sitting on the couch in the back and giving our 'valuable' advices...We really like the result and thought you should also listen to it. Most people might find that the mixes aren't very different, but those who are interested in sounds and tweaking can discover lots of different details. The vinyl will come with a CD that has the entire album in the Tue Madsen mix, while Colin Richardson's mix will be added as additional and 3rd CD to the Ltd. It turned out very diverse, it's melodic, emotional and brutal at the same time. Several guests visited us in the studio for additional performances, so you can look forward to some interesting twists!" Due to a recent event, Maik would like to share a first song title: "Just while finalizing the very last bits and pieces for 'VETO' we received the sad news that Walter Schilling passed away in Saalfeld on January 29th. Walter Schilling was a Protestant pastor and civil rights activist in the GDR (former East Germany). We have a new song called 'Antagonized' that is about him, his life and his work in Thuringia. It might seem odd that a band called HEAVEN SHALL BURN is dedicating a song to a man of the church. Still, Schilling was never into clerical dogmas. Instead he encouraged and helped teenagers to pursue new and alternative cultural ideas under the protective shield of his church and youth centre in Braunsdorf near Saalfeld. Without Walter Schilling a huge part of the youth culture and music in Thuringia wouldn't have happened - this probably goes for the GDR in general. No matter if you liked Blues, played Punk or Metal, every single person was welcome in Braunsdorf, Saalfeld, Rudolstadt or Jena. Schilling helped establishing what enabled HSB to play music, because most of the clubs and musicians that supported us in our very early days were directly or indirectly involved with Schilling's work. You will not find many theologians of Walter's kind."
