The Agony Scene: : THE AGONY SCENE To Embark On ?oThe Dawn of Destruction? Tour

THE AGONY SCENE continues their unrelenting touring assault across the U.S. this Nov. as part of the Hot Topic sponsored trek dubbed ?oThe Dawn of Destruction? tour. Joining them on this run will be Suicide Silence, A Life Once Lost and Walls of Jericho, which kicks off on Oct. 30th. This massive North American assault features a devastating lineup from top to bottom and this fan-friendly, affordably-priced tour is easily going to be one of the most talked about packages going out this fall. The group just wrapped up a month-long run as direct support to Misery Signals that kicked off the worldwide touring cycle for their much anticipated new album, Get Damned, which is now available. See the tour section for their complete itinerary.

A vicious new track, ?oRapture,? was recently posted on their MySpace page [http://www.myspace.com/agonyscene](http://www.myspace.com/agonyscene), so head over to check it out now. The group are also shooting a video for their song "Barn Burner" on October 26th with director Cale Glendening (Yellowcard, Black Eyed Peas) and are putting out an open call for people to come to the shoot in Tulsa, OK. The info is below and you don?Tt want to miss this opportunity to come rock out with the band for your shot at television stardom.

Time : 5:00pm Friday October 26th
Place : Admiral Twin Theater in Tulsa Ok.
Address : 7355 E. Easton St. Tulsa, OK 74115

Featuring a new drummer (Ryan Folden), a new label home and a renewed perspective, Get Damned is as highly charged and personal a recording as you will hear from THE AGONY SCENE. Brimming with the kind of vitriol that shot their self-titled debut straight through the underground and into the homes of music lovers worldwide, Get Damned is a brisk slap in the face to those who would dare question the momentum of the Tulsa quintet. It?Ts easy enough to recycle the same formula, but 2007 finds the band reinventing itself by fully embracing its sharper, more metallic elements, complete with cutting riffs and just enough attitude to give the new album that recognizable charm that has come to define THE AGONY SCENE.

Through touring with the likes of Strapping Young Lad, Himsa and Black Dahlia Murder, the band has developed a killer live show. With a revitalized sound and spanking new record in their arsenal, expect the unexpected when THE AGONY SCENE hits a town near you in support of their best record yet.

THE AGONY SCENE have triumphantly returned with their ferocious Century Media debut, Get Damned, produced by Andreas Magnusson (Black Dahlia Murder, Scarlet), which is set for an Oct. 23 release date. Be sure to check out their official MySpace page [www.myspace.com/agonyscene](www.myspace.com/agonyscene) to stream the new track, ?oWill To Bleed" and for their complete tour itinerary.

Mike Williams (vocals) states: "We are stoked to get back on the road. It's been a little over a year since we have even played a show and we're definitely ready to get back out. We're going out with some killer bands! We went out with Misery Signals back in 2005 and had a blast so we're excited to see those dudes again. Sky Eats Airplane, Emmure and Born of Osiris are all great bands which makes for a killer show you don't want to miss.

"We also couldn't be happier with Get Damned. From a writing standpoint we really tried to get back to the way we wrote our self titled record. We did not hold back creatively and really strived to push the boundaries of what people expected of us. It's definitely the most pissed off we've ever been."
