<title>God Forbid: : GOD FORBID Post "War of Attrition" Video Online</title>
<description>GOD FORBID are proud to launch their much anticipated new video "War of Attrition," which was shot by acclaimed director Ian McFarland (Sick of It All), exclusively on the Headbangers Ball Blog (click on the link below). This clip perfectly captures the band's frenetic and unrelenting live performance presence and you can also catch the clip when it airs on MTV2's Headbangers Ball this Saturday night.

Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) further comments: "Shooting videos kinda sucks. Especially performance videos. You have to head bang for 10 hours in a row, fake play your songs, and you don\\'t even know if all the work will pay off with an awesome video. With that said, this is by far the best performance video we\\'ve ever had and it really captures the intensity of the song. As you can see from the clip, we really put our trust in Ian who was incredible to work with. Ian and his crew were super professional. I can\\'t wait for everyone to see the finished product. And like Dave Chappelle says, 'Everything looks better in slow motion.' See you all this summer."

The pride of New Jersey, GOD FORBID, recently completed a very lengthy, successful trek with Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Children of Bodom and Municipal Waste. The group are now preparing for their first multi-festival European run. There will also be some off-date club shows with Anthrax and Devildriver, as well as stops on major festivals such as Download, Graspop and With Full Force in support of their highly acclaimed, new album Earthsblood. The new offering scored the band their highest chart debut yet coming in at #110 on the Billboard Top 200.

Fans throughout North America get to see the band all summer long on the massive Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival as part of the Jägermeister stage alongside All That Remains and Trivium. Marilyn Manson and Slayer will top the bill on this year's highly anticipated tour, which is set to kick off July 10 at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Sacramento, CA. Be sure to visit [http://www.myspace.com/godforbid](http://www.myspace.com/godforbid) to view the band's complete touring schedule.

Earthsblood was produced by Eric Rachel (Atreyu) with Christian Olde Wolbers (Fear Factory, Threat Signal) handling all vocal production and Jens Bogren (Opeth) on mixing duties. This is an entirely new GOD FORBID that have matured beyond their years and are now more focused than ever before. The depth and diversity showcased on this new album is easily going to position them as of one the most innovative bands within the genre.

<title>God Forbid: : GOD FORBID Score Highest Billboard Top 200 Entry With Earthsblood</title>
<description>The pride of New Jersey, GOD FORBID, have finally unveiled their much anticipated new full-length release, Earthsblood, to the masses last week to rave reviews. The new offering scored the band their highest chart debut yet with moving 5,393 copies via SoundScan 1st week out and coming in at #110 on the Billboard Top 200 (last album, Constitution of Treason, debuted at #119). Earthsblood also came in at #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.

Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) further states: "Hello everyone. I\\'m proud to announce that our new album Earthsblood charted even higher than our previous album, which is amazing in this day and age of downloads. Thanks to everyone who went out and picked it up. It means a lot to the guys in the band. Right now, we\\'re in the midst of a European Tour with our bros in Ill Nino. The tour is actually going very well. The clubs are packed, and we\\'re having a great time with Ill Nino. They are great friends, and it feels wonderful to be around familar faces in a foreign land. Europe seems to get a little better each time we come back. A few more fans show up each time with more enthusiasm, and we are certainly determined to make it over here. I can\\'t wait to come back for festival season in June.

"When we get back to the states, we only have a few days off before we have to do a few warm up shows that lead into the No Fear Energy tour with Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Children of Bodom and Municipal Waste. Congrats to our friends in LOG for debuting at #2 on the Billboard chart, showcasing that metal is alive and strong in a big way. I expect these sentiments to continue on the tour. This tour is going to be fucking EPIC! I have a feeling people will be talking about these shows for years! This tour is going to be a huge launching pad for this new album. We will be signing cd\\'s at merch on this tour, so be sure to come by and say hello. We haven\\'t locked down the set list 100%, but we only have 25 minutes, so that\\'s around 5 songs. Expect a couple new songs, a few fan favorites, and maybe a wild card in the mix. Can\\'t wait to get back home, and rock for you people. It\\'s gonna be a rager! Peace."

This tour also marks GOD FORBID's first North American run in support of their critically acclaimed new album, Earthsblood, which is set for a Feb. 24th release. A specially priced pre-order for the album is now available exclusively at [https://www.cmdistro.com/specials.aspx#29845](https://www.cmdistro.com/specials.aspx#29845) that features a double disc version of Earthsblood (second disc is a full live set recorded at The Starland Ballroom) and limited edition t-shirt for only $18.

Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) further states: "I can't begin to explain how honored and excited we are to be part of this tour with Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Children of Bodom and Municipal Waste. LOG are some of our closest and oldest friends in the metal scene, and for them to extend the offer means more than they probably know. This will be one of the biggest tours we've ever done, and I can't think of a better way to kick off the Earthsblood touring cycle. This will be the first chance to showcase some of the new material, hopefully reach out to a whole host of new fans.

"This opportunity is one of the best of our career. Although we'll have a short set, we intend to play a very intense group of new and old songs. We've never toured with AILD, but are good friends with them, and it will be great to finally tour together. Bodom are some old drinking buddies, and destroying our livers nightly will be good times. Municipal Waste are incredible, so finally getting to tour with them is sick. We've known Dave Witte from the local Jersey scene for years. This will be one of the best tours of 2009 hands down, so get your tickets early, and get ready to rage!

<title>God Forbid: : GOD FORBID - Headbangers Blog Podcast Posted</title>
<description>Simultaneously heavy and melodic, filled with barreling, uncompromising rhythms, tuneful vocals and undeniable hooks, God Forbid\\'s upcoming album Earthsblood is cathartic and clever, capitalizing on the promise God Forbid have been making since 2001 - to deliver songs that are memorable, dynamic and bruising.

Just days after God Forbid premiered the single "War of Attrition" on their MySpace and Web site, MTV's Headbangers Blog hooked up with Doc Coyle to talk about the creation of Earthsblood, the metal public's prejudice against melodic vocals, the difficulty of staying faithful on the road and how being forced to work day jobs might have inspired God Forbid to write such a killer record.

<title>God Forbid: : GOD FORBID Unveil Earthsblood Album Cover; Launch New MySpace Design</title>
<description>As the anticipation continues to build to epic proportions, GOD FORBID unveil their striking new album cover for the much anticipated new album Earthsblood, which is set for a Feb. 24th North American release and Feb. 16th throughout Europe. Head over now to [http://www.myspace.com/godforbid](http://www.myspace.com/godforbid) to check out the new cover art and album's tracklisting.

Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) further comments: "All of us in GOD FORBID are proud to unveil the cover artwork for our forthcoming album Earthsblood! The album layout and our spiffy new MySpace design were both done by our new partner in crime and artistic virtuoso Gustavo Sazes. Based out of Brazil, he hasn\\'t worked with many American bands, so we are very excited to have him now onboard. For Earthsblood, we thought it would be great to go with someone who isn\\'t one of the usual suspects for album design in modern metal.

"The cover turned out much better than we ever hoped. It fully captures the dark and organic, yet emotional atmosphere of the album. The detail and abstract imagery is haunting and beautiful. The color scheme is perfect. I assure you all that the rest of the layout is just as impressive as the cover. Hopefully it will give people incentive to want to buy the CD (as opposed to downloading) to be able to enjoy the artwork first hand. This is my favorite GOD FORBID album artwork to date. We will see you all very soon."

<title>God Forbid: : GOD FORBID Announce Release Date For Earthsblood; Post New Audio Tracks Online</title>
<description>The epic and grandiose musical landscape of the new GOD FORBID album proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that this group have paved a new path out from the stagnant metalcore scene and the future looks to be a very bright one. The stunning new effort, Earthsblood, blends together the perfect amount of brutality, melodies and utter catchiness against a wall of sonic excess and pummeling groove-laden riffs.

Frontman Byron Davis steps up his game to new heights and delivers his most aggressive and angst-ridden performance yet, while the dynamic guitar tandem composed of Dallas and Doc Coyle shred with precision and tenacity to deliver captivating harmonies that scream to the heavens. The backbone of the band, bassist John Outcalt and drummer Corey Piece, lock in a rhythm section that beats the listener into submission giving room for the remaining members to show off their remarkable musical prowess.

Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) further states: "Even though it's three months until the release date, the GOD FORBID camp thought it would be a great idea to give a little sneak peak of the actual music from Earthsblood to whet your appetites. This sampler is meant to give some insight into the diverse nature and depth of the album. We hope this makes all the fans as excited as we are for the record!"

<title>God Forbid: : GOD FORBID Announce New Album Title</title>
<description>There is no doubt that one of the most anticipated new albums of 2009 is the new GOD FORBID full-length offering, which is tentatively set for a Feb. release. This explosive, ground breaking disc entitled Earthsblood, sees the band take their performance to the next level and is easily the defining release of their already heralded career. Stay tuned to [http://www.myspace.com/godforbid](http://www.myspace.com/godforbid) for up to date news.

Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) further comments: "The title Earthsblood came to me after watching the film There Will Be Blood. What is the price of ambition? Is the blood of our bodies and the blood of the earth one and the same? With the current energy crisis, and its relation to many of the military conflicts worldwide, there has been a global, collective consciousness that has emerged in regards to the interdependence between humankind and the planet in which we inhabit. Coincidentally, the lyrics that Byron Davis and Dallas Coyle had written meshed with these revelations perfectly. This isn\\'t a preachy, trendy, 'hip to be green' album, nor is it a concept album. It\\'s just an abstract observation."

Earthsblood was produced by Eric Rachel (Atreyu) with Christian Olde Wolbers (Fear Factory, Threat Signal) handling all vocal tracking. This is an entirely new GOD FORBID that have matured beyond their years and are now more focused than ever before. The depth and diversity showcased on this new album is easily going to position them as of one the most innovative bands within the genre.
