<title>Luna Mortis: : LUNA MORTIS Embark On First Ever National Tour Supporting Edguy; Post New Video "Forever More" Online</title>
<description>The southern Wisconsin quintet, LUNA MORTIS, made a huge impact on the metal scene with their epic, piercing, Century Media debut full-length offering, The Absence, which runs the metal gamut; encompassing everything from captivating melodies, technical precision and engaging hooks. The band will embark on their first ever national tour alongside Edguy and Epicurean this week, so either see below or head over to [http://www.myspace.com/lunamortismusic](http://www.myspace.com/lunamortismusic) now to view their complete touring itinerary.

The group's stunning new video for the track, "Forever More," can be viewed now exclusively at [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTKgsSUrEfc](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTKgsSUrEfc). The captivating clip was directed by the renowned David Brodsky (All That Remains, Bleeding Through, Black Dahlia Murder), so check it out to see just how musically proficient and dynamic this band truly is.

Mary Zimmer (vocals) further states: "We are so excited to be getting ready for our North American tour with Edguy and Epicurean! Getting things off to a good start, so far, and we\\'ve got a couple of lineup changes to announce for the tour. First of all, our bass player, Jake Bare, wasn\\'t able to hit the road with us this time, so we are very happy to have producer Don DeBiase filling in on bass guitar for the entire tour. He\\'s an incredible musician and performer and has produced music for us as well as bands like Beneath the Sky (Victory) and Forever In Terror (Metalblade). He\\'s a good friend of ours and we hope you will all enjoy watching him on stage with us this September.

"Also, due to circumstances beyond their control, Epicurean had both of their guitarists become unavailable for the tour last minute. So, both of our guitarists, Cory and Brian, are stepping up and doing double duty this tour and will be playing with Epicurean as well. On top of this awesome tour, we are finally releasing the video for the track 'Forever More' that was directed by David Brodsky. We are so pumped to show you this video. It was filmed in Monroe, WI at a place that used to be a church, but is now a concert hall. The stained glass in the building was great and working with David was incredible and we are so excited to share the video with you all. See you out on the road with Edguy!"

LUNA MORTIS prides itself on blurring genre lines to arrive at something both beautiful and aggressive. Their ability to capture a progressive and dark sound should appeal to metalheads regardless of their sonic inclinations. Zimmer's approach is unlike her contemporaries with an unlimited range and dynamic scope that will quickly help set the group apart from the pack.

<title>Luna Mortis: : LUNA MORTIS Featured On Madison, Wisconsin's CW Network; Shoot New Video</title>
<description>The southern Wisconsin quintet, LUNA MORTIS, made a huge impact on the metal scene with their epic, piercing, Century Media debut full-length offering, The Absence, which runs the gamut; encompassing everything from captivating melodies, technical precision and engaging hooks. Further validating their success, the band was honored to be featured on \\"The Daily Buzz\\" show on Madison's CW Network. The piece features some interview and performance footage, so click on the link below to check it out.

Mary Zimmer (vocals) further states: "Recently, we were approached by Madison\\'s CW network for an interview so we were more than happy to oblige, and were surprised at the request. It\\'s not too often that you see metal bands on regular television, let alone a morning show like 'The Daily Buzz' here in Madison. The CW crew came out and interviewed us at The Annex, one of our favorite venues here in Madison, and we also did a live performance of 'Forever More,' which they cut into the story as well. It was a great experience and we are so glad to have such huge hometown support.

"Speaking of videos, in the last couple of weeks, we\\'ve also completed filming our first music video for our album The Absence. It will be of the song 'Forever More' and it was shot in Monroe, Wisconsin - a really small town where some of the guys grew up - in a place called the Monroe Arts Center. It used to be a church, but has been converted for concerts and performances, but the video is going to look very epic as the building was awesome. It was shot by acclaimed director David Brodsky, who has done TONS of other metal videos (Bleeding Through, The Agonist, Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, etc.) and has won several awards from MTV2s Headbanger\\'s Ball. He and his production assistant, Allie, were great to work with and we think the video is going to look incredible. When the video is up, we will be stoked for you all to see it and we can\\'t wait to hear what you think!"

<title>Luna Mortis: : LUNA MORTIS Film New Video; Post Pictures on MySpace</title>
<description>[LUNA MORTIS](http://www.myspace.com/lunamortismusic) released their highly anticipated Century Media debut, The Absence, on February 10th and recently played dates alongside Soilwork and Darkane. During these shows, the band shot a video for "Forever More" with acclaimed director David Brodsky (Black Dahlia Murder, Bleeding Through). The video is currently being edited and will be released soon, in the mean time you can check out pictures from the shoot online at the official [LUNA MORTIS MySpace page](http://www.myspace.com/lunamortismusic).

Vocalist Mary Zimmer comments: "We just posted brand new photos from our video shoot for the song 'Forever More'...check them out and enjoy! This will be our first video from our new album, \\"The Absence\\", and we can\\'t wait to share it with you guys...it was filmed by David Brodsky of My Good Eye music videos. Check him out here and watch some other videos he\\'s done...

[My Good Eye](http://www.mgenyc.com).

We filmed the video right here in Wisconsin, in a small town not too far from Madison, called Monroe. They had a performance center called the Monroe Arts Center, which used to be a church, but now is used for concerts. They were kind enough to let us shoot there and the video is going to be absolutely epic. Lots of Stained glass windows and a wide open space are going to make this video look very cool. It was a very unlikely place to shoot a metal video but it worked out great..."

<description>The southern Wisconsin quintet, LUNA MORTIS, is about to make a huge impact on the metal scene with their epic, piercing, Century Media debut full-length offering, The Absence, which runs the gamut; encompassing everything from captivating melodies, technical precision and engaging hooks. Mary Zimmer (vocals) further states: "We are so excited about the release of our new album, The Absence! We\\'ve been waiting several months to share the entire album with our fans, and we can\\'t believe the release is here already. It\\'s the culmination of months of work, from recording with Jason in September, to new photos, artwork and all the hard work that we as a band and the staff at Century Media have put in to helping us get out a kick ass new album.

"We\\'ve uploaded one of our favorite songs called 'Forever More' from the album for you to check out! We\\'re also extremely pumped for our first couple of radio appearances in support of the new album. On Sunday, we\\'ll be making our first commercial radio appearance with Madison\\'s 94.1 WJJO! Our CD release/listening party is this Friday in Madison, and then later this month we\\'ll be hitting the stage with Soilwork in Milwaukee and Chicago. We\\'re so incredibly pumped to see you guys in the audience and we can\\'t wait to play for the midwest fans. Thanks again, everybody for your support and don\\'t forget to pick up The Absence this week! We look forward to seeing you all soon."

When you're trying to break into the international music scene from Wisconsin, you're left to claw your way up yourself, and LUNA MORTIS did exactly that with the 2006 release of their self-produced LP, Way of the Blade. As the album made its way through the local grapevine, the band had cemented enough of a regional reputation to generate label interest. They began a period of intensive demo production and showcasing, beginning with the recording of their EP, The Answer: Does Not Exist and culminating in the opportunity to cut four tracks with Jason Suecof. These efforts ultimately found LUNA MORTIS a home at Century Media amongst a literal pantheon of some of the band\\'s most respected and admired influences.

<title>Luna Mortis: : LUNA MORTIS Enter Audiohammer Studios; Post New Video Report Online</title>
<description>Wisconsin based metal band LUNA MORTIS are slated to return to Audiohammer Studios, FL on Sept. 1st to finish recording their debut Century Media offering. Producer Jason Suecof (All That Remains, Trivium) will be at the helm for the record.

This will be the band\\'s second trip to Audiohammer this year as LUNA MORTIS spent time recording with Suecof in February of \\'08; laying down tracks originally conceived for a demo. The tracks are unreleased with the exception of one song, "Ruin," that has been uploaded to the band\\'s MySpace and will become a part of their new album. Head over to [http://www.myspace.com/lunamortismusic](http://www.myspace.com/lunamortismusic) now to check it out.

While at Audiohammer in February, the band documented their recording experience with a series of videos. The first of these videos has been released via YouTube at [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtstQi9jzJo](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtstQi9jzJo)

Mary Zimmer (vocals) had this to say about returning to Audiohammer: "We\\'re so excited to be returning to the studio to work with Jason. He\\'s a phenomenal producer and we adore working with him. The songs we recorded in February that we originally wanted to release as a 4-song demo, turned out better than anything we\\'ve done so far in our career. We\\'ve decided to put them on our debut record for Century Media and we\\'re returning to Jason to finish the album starting September 1st. For the demo we did in February, we did pre-production on the 4 songs with a wonderful producer named Don DeBiase who\\'s worked with bands like Forever in Terror and Beneath the Sky. We aren\\'t sure if we\\'ll be able to coordinate schedules with him to do pre-production on the remainder of the album, because September is right around the corner, but we are 100% confirmed to start recording with Jason on the 1st. We did release one song from our February session for streaming only on our myspace page. It\\'s called 'Ruin' and we hope you like it. We can\\'t wait to finish the album and bring some more metal to you all!\\"

<title>Luna Mortis: : LUNA MORTIS Signs With Century Media</title>
<description>Century Media Records is excited to announce the signing of the melodic, abrasive, technical and engaging LUNA MORTIS. The southern Wisconsin quintet prides itself on blurring genre lines to arrive at something both beautiful and aggressive. Their ability to capture a progressive and dark sound should appeal to metalheads regardless of their sonic inclinations

"All of us have been looking up to the artists on the CM roster for years, and to be a part of the family is truly amazing and humbling," says vocalist Mary Zimmer. "We have put years of hard work into the band and it\\'s all finally paying off. To the fans that have been with us this far, keep expecting the same kick-ass metal. To people who are hearing of us for the first time, it\\'s nice to meet you and we\\'ll see you all out on the road!\\"

When you're trying to break into the international music scene from Wisconsin you're left to claw your way up yourself, and LUNA MORTIS did exactly that with the 2006 release of their self-produced LP, "Way of the Blade." As the album made its way through the local grapevine the band had cemented enough of a regional reputation to generate label interest. They began a period of intensive demo production and showcasing, beginning with the recording of their EP, \\"The Answer: Does Not Exist\\" and culminating in the opportunity to cut four tracks with producer Jason Suecof (Trivium, Chimaira, All That Remains). These efforts ultimately found LUNA MORTIS a home at Century Media amongst a literal pantheon of some of the band\\'s most respected and admired influences.

As engaging as they are on record, LUNA MORTIS have largely built a following through their outstanding live show. Opening spots for Megadeth, Nevermore, Dream Theater and Children of Bodom have not only introduced the band to a significant number of crowds but also a diverse set of fans, too. Now, with the backing of one of metal\\'s largest and most enduring labels, the band looks outward, prepared to deliver their music to the world. Look for LUNA MORTIS' Century Media debut in early 2009, and expect tour dates to be announced in the coming months.</description>
