Angelus Apatrida: : DEBUTS VIDEO FOR "YOU ARE NEXT"

ANGELUS APATRIDA DEBUTS VIDEO FOR "YOU ARE NEXT"

Spanish thrash metallers ANGELUS APATRIDA are back with a new studio album entitled The Call, which is to be released on April 30th in Europe and digitally on May 8th in North America via Century Media Records. In anticipation of this release, the band has now launched the album's first video clip for the dynamic opening track "You Are Next". You can watch the video here:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZcpiT1A1rY">www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZcpiT1A1rY</a>

In regards to the track, "You Are Next", and their upcoming release, The Call, ANGELUS APATRIDA comments: "We think that 'The Call' is a record that represents the wide variety of styles and elements in our music extremely well; every song stands alone strong and unique in its own way, making the album a whole piece that needs to be heard completely to get the full idea of the sound of the band. But, if we had to choose one song to represent the whole thing, it would be 'You Are Next' because, both lyrical and musically, it showcases the anger and fury we wanted to put into this album, and also reflects the step forward we feel we have made technically. It's a song that starts slowly and trying to capture the listener before exploding into a furious sonic assault."

The video for "You Are Next" was produced by directors Sara Cort and Adriana Lorente, who had also worked on the band's previous video, "Blast Off", from the album Clockwork.

The same creative team that worked on the band's previous release, Clockwork , has teamed-up with them again for this new effort: it was once again recorded in Moita, Portugal at Ultrasound Studio with producer Daniel Cardoso (ANNEKE VAN GIERSBERGEN, ANATHEMA, etc.) and the striking artwork was handled by Gustavo Sazes from Abstrata (ARCH ENEMY, KRISIUN, etc.). The track-listing for the album is below.

The Call track-listing
1. You Are Next
2. At The Gates Of Hell
3. Violent Dawn
4. It's Rising!
5. Blood On The Snow
6. Killer Instinct
7. The Hope Is Gone
8. Fresh Pleasure
9. Still Corrupt
10. Reborn

In regards to the artwork, ANGELUS APATRIDA comments: "The cover presents the character of the creature that's gonna start the Armageddon. We wanted the beast to look majestic and powerful and we definitely think that Gustavo achieved that. We believe the cover fully represents the spirit of what you are going to listen...and you better be prepared, cause is coming to get you!"

It's been a busy time for ANGELUS APATRIDA ever since the release of their critically acclaimed Clockwork in 2010. After a support slot on the Spanish ARCH ENEMY tour in December 2009, this ambitious and voracious thrash metal quartet did about 80 shows in their native Spain (including slots at all relevant festivals like Sonisphere and En Vivo), as well as in Portugal where they toured as support to SLAYER/MEGADETH. Additionally, ANGELUS APATRIDA also toured Europe twice; first with SKELETONWITCH/WARBRINGER, then with DYING FETUS, KEEP OF KALESSIN, CARNIFEX, and FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE (as part of the "Bonecrusher Fest"), which helped expand the band's international visibility and showcase their high level of musicianship abroad as well.

Angelus Apatrida: : Thrash Metallers ANGELUS APATRIDA sign worldwide deal with Century Media Records!

Thrash Metallers ANGELUS APATRIDA sign worldwide deal with Century Media Records; To support Arch Enemy in Spain and Portugal early December!

CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS proudly announces the worldwide signing of the Thrash Metal band ANGELUS APATRIDA, the most promising and threatening Metal band from Spain!
This young commando was born in the spanish town of Albacete in the year 2000 and perfectly combines both the aggression and the melodic edge of classic 80's Thrash Metal with a breathtaking modern southern fury that results in an impressive blend of rage, attitude and a high level of technical skills, rarely seen with young bands like this.

ANGELUS APATRIDA comment on the signing as follows: "We are extremely enthusiastic about this opportunity to show around what we are made of! It's an honour for us to become part of the Century Media Records family, one of the labels with the best reputation worldwide and a home to some of the bands we admire the most and grew up listening to!"

ANGELUS APATRIDA's band name mixes spanish and latin language and can be translated into english as 'stateless' or 'renegade' angels. Influenced by the early Bay Area Thrash Metal and N.W.O.B.H.M. scenes and more specifically bands like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Anthrax, Overkill, Pantera, Testament or Annihilator, ANGELUS APATRIDA have crafted their career in their spanish homeland so far with two independent album releases,"Evil Unleashed" (2006) and "Give 'Em War" (2007), as well as countless of live-appearances on larger national festivals (Lorca Rock, Alternavigo, Metalway Festival, etc.) and the clubs of most of the country's larger cities with acts like Barón Rojo, Destruction, Sepultura and many more.

ANGELUS APATRIDA are currently finishing the songwriting process for their Century Media debut album, tentatively entitled "Clockwork" and to be recorded in January 2010. In the meantime, ANGELUS APATRIDA will be supporting labelmates Arch Enemy on their upcoming dates in Spain and Portugal alongside Abigail Williams.
