<title>Nocturnal Rites: : NOCTURNAL RITES - announce new guitarist and work on new album!</title>
<description>NOCTURNAL RITES - announce new guitarist and work on new album!

Swedish power metal gods NOCTURNAL RITES just posted a video introducing their new guitarist Chris Rörland. Thus, the band has finally found a replacement for guitarist Nils Norberg who left in 2008. Axe man Fredrik Mannberg comments on the new band member:

"It feels great to have Chris in the band. He's a really, really nice guy. We're very happy to have found this guy very close to our hometown. We are very excited to start working on new material and play some live shows with him, so it's great."

Check out Chris' impressive skills on a little video on the band's MySpace profile:&lt;a href="http://www.myspace.com/nocturnalrites"&gt;http://www.myspace.com/nocturnalrites&lt;/a&gt;.

With this newfound power NOCTURNAL RITES continue with full speed on writing new material for the follow up to 2007's "The 8th Sin".
"We have some really dark and aggressive stuff written as well as some more melodic tunes, so this new album will definitely cater to all aspects of the NOCTURNAL RITES legacy! It sounds a little like we're going back in time, mixed with trademark NOCTURNAL RITES catchy melodies."

<title>Nocturnal Rites: : NOCTURNAL RITES Post New E-card and Video Report</title>
<description>When it comes to power metal, there are only a handful of bands still sticking to a tradition of heavy, mind-melting riffs while also bringing their sound into the 21st century. NOCTURNAL RITES is one of those bands, and their eighth full-length, appropriately titled The 8th Sin, is rife with the kind of visceral energy that helped bring the genre to the forefront in the mid to late '80s. The album is set for a June 5th release.

A new E-card featuring several tracks off the new album, the bandâ?Ts new video â?oNever Again,â?? latest tour dates and a contest to win exclusive NOCTURNAL RITES t-shirts can be accessed at the link below.

As a special treat for all NOCTURNAL RITES fans, the band has posted a new video message, check it out at the following link:

More NOCTURNAL RITES clips are available at the bandâ?Ts official YouTube.com channel [http://youtube.com/noctv](http://youtube.com/noctv)

Metal Maniacs described NOCTURNAL RITES as "the power metal band for people who don't like power metal," and while this statement is only partially true, it does reflect the band's evolution in sound. While they quickly progressed from death to speed metal, it was with power metal that the band found their musical talents most useful. Above all, The 8th Sin is proof of that perfect evolution.

<title>Nocturnal Rites: : NOCTURNAL RITES Post New Track; Launch YouTube Page</title>
<description>When it comes to power metal, there are only a handful of bands still sticking to a tradition of heavy, mind-melting riffs while also bringing their sound into the 21st century. NOCTURNAL RITES is one of those bands, and their eighth full-length, appropriately titled The 8th Sin, is rife with the kind of visceral energy that helped bring the genre to the forefront in the mid to late â?~80s.

The group recently posted the scathing new track, â?oNever Again,â?? to their MySpace page [www.myspace.com/nocturnalrites](www.myspace.com/nocturnalrites). Also, fans can now visit the bandâ?Ts YouTube page at [www.youtube.com/noctv](www.youtube.com/noctv)
to view the new video for â?oNever Again,â?? along with a slew of live performance clips and exclusive guitar lessons. Their stunning new album, The 8th Sin, is set for a June 5th release.

The band members themselves produced The 8th Sin, so thereâ?Ts absolutely no filtering or dumbing-down here. From the opening track, â?oCall Out to the World,â?? to closer â?oFoolâ?Ts Parade,â?? the album is 100% NOCTURNAL RITES. Only these Swedes could pull off sounding bombastic and progressive without losing a bit of the cutting edge that makes them stand out from their Scandinavian brethren. With 11 unique and equally impressive tracks to choose from, the album offers plenty of material to sustain old fans and garner new ones as well.

Metal Maniacs described NOCTURNAL RITES as â?othe power metal band for people who donâ?Tt like power metal,â?? and while this statement is only partially true, it does reflect the bandâ?Ts evolution in sound. The New Year and the new album will see Lullacry seduce their way into your heart.

New World Messiah, their 2003 release, was praised as "fantastically brilliant from start to end" (*BW&amp;BK*). *Grand Illusion*, which features guest performances from members of Hammerfall, Stratovarius, Evergrey and Naglfar, along with [cover art](http://www.nocturnalrites.com/index2.htm) by Axel Hermann (Dream Evil, In Flames) and a CD-ROM containing video extras, is sure to surpass fans' every expectation.</description>
