      <title>Poisonblack: : new song &amp; MySpace layout online!</title>
<description>POISONBLACK - new song &amp; MySpace layout online!

Finnish goth rockers POISONBLACK have launched a brand-new song off their new album "Of Rust And Bones" on their revamped MySpace profile. Head over to &lt;a href="http://www.myspace.com/officialpoisonblack"&gt;http://www.myspace.com/officialpoisonblack&lt;/a&gt; to check out "Buried Alive"!

The new album was recorded with the acclaimed producer Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Sentenced, Lordi, Amorphis.). Fuelled by the band's typically Finnish view on life the album offers intense and gloomy yet hard rocking songs that breathe honesty and misery in every single note. Topped off by the unique voice of Ville Laihiala "Of Rust And Bones" invites you all to take comfort in sorrow and drown in its depths.

The new album will be available through CMDistro.com exclusively and via Digital Download.

      <title>Poisonblack: : POISONBLACK Prepare For A Dead Heavy Day; Launch In-Studio Video</title>
<description>Finnish goth metal masters POISONBLACK are gearing up to release their new album, A Dead Heavy Day, on September 16. In preparation for the release, the band is providing insight into the recording process by posting two Studio Session videos online at the following location, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2y0Te3Fkf1A and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSQbDZD4Gk0.

On the band's third record, Ville Laihiala takes you on a journey through the abyss of his mind and soul to create gloomy, literally dead heavy songs that are as personal and heart-felt as possible. Laihiala comments, "As usual it took a year of adventures in life and relationships to put my innermost feelings into the shape of songs. Everything is straight from inside of my head. Compositions and lyrics are supposed to support each other as good as possible to express my innermost emotions."

POISONBLACK recorded A Dead Heavy Day at Soundmix Studio in their hometown Oulu with Kari Vähäkuopus, which put them in the right mindset for what the band says was an easy, relaxing recording session. Musically, the band strived for a dirtier and more rocking sound than before. Aksu Hanttu (Entwine) mixed the album at Grooveland Studio in Lahti, helping to provide the band with the sound they were searching for. Guitarist Janne Markus sounds confident and happy about the final result: "He totally got what we wanted: a heavier, yet transparent sound."</description>

In the spring of 2006, POISONBLACK headed back into Tonebox Studio in its hometown of Oulu, Finland to complete work on Lust Stained Despair. Laihiala states: "We added additional feelings and frustrations to the already existing ones and it's what the songs required from each individual in order to make us sound as poisonous as we do. All three words in the title, 'Lust Stained Despair,' are individually giving a picture, a feeling about the music and lyrics. Enough said." The effort was mixed and mastered at Antfarm Studios by the acclaimed Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted).

With Sentenced put to rest, Laihiala's main priority is now Poisonblack, and with a more focused lineup in place, the group are poised to deliver a release that should add a glimmer of hope to an otherwise bleak world.

\\"Tales of lust, seduction and ultimate destruction.\\"
    -- Outburn

\\"Slow and mournful; this is really a more commercial version of Sentenced.\\"
    -- Metal Maniacs
