<title>ICS Vortex: : ANNOUNCE TRACK-LISTING AND LAUNCH ARTWORK FOR "STORM SEEKER" DEBUT ALBUM!</title>
<description>ICS VORTEX ANNOUNCE TRACK-LISTING AND LAUNCH ARTWORK FOR "STORM SEEKER" DEBUT ALBUM!

Norway's ICS VORTEX is soon to release the extremely versatile "Storm Seeker" debut album on August 22nd, 2011 in Europe and August 23rd, 2011 in North America via Century Media Records. The atmospheric album's front cover artwork can now be seen above and the track-listing for the release has been announced as well. It will read as follows:

ICS VORTEX "Storm Seeker" Track-Listing:

1. The Blackmobile
2. Odin's Tree
3. Skoal!
4. Dogsmacked
5. Aces
6. Windward
7. When Shuffled Off
8. Oil In Water
9. Storm Seeker
10. Flaskeskipper
11. The Sub Mariner

ICS Vortex, former DIMMU BORGIR and current BORKNAGAR/ARCTURUS member, describes "Storm Seeker" to be "a tribute to the fall and rise of my kind. A generation of misfits, born of hippies and raised by Satan."

He further comments on the influences for making the album: "Inspiration is usually drawn from the things that are close to me. I always write in code, it's often doom related, but never ever whiny. The power of the elements, obscure beauty, religion, death and junk are a few favorites. Knowing I am drawn to the power of the dark side, I decided to include lighter topics into the mix this time to separate 'Storm Seeker' from 'Sideshow Symphonies': 'The Blackmobile' about Mopar and 'Aces' about gambling are the result. Love songs really."

Previously, the album's first promotional song, "The Blackmobile", was launched online and can be heard on &lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH7kx9QUPkI"&gt;.
youtube&lt;/a&gt;.

"Storm Seeker" will be released initially as a limited edition Digipak, 180g. LP version and also as Digital Download in Europe.

ICS Vortex's debut album is a havoc of varied metal and takes the musical elements from his +10 years experience with DIMMU BORGIR as well as the legacy of the classic bands with whom he is still active (BORKNAGAR, ARCTURUS, and LAMENTED SOULS), topping things off with his signature clean vocals in order to make "Storm Seeker" become a perfectly balanced axe, whether a song is cutting fast, or dicing slow. "Storm Seeker" features appearances by BORKNAGAR teammate Asgeir Mickelson on drums and also Terje "Cyrus" Andersen (SUSPERIA, ex DIMMU BORGIR) contributing some lead guitars. The album was recorded at Norwegian Toproom Studio (MAYHEM, TRISTANIA, BORKNAGAR, etc.) with engineer Børge Finstad and mastered in Sweden by Peter in de Betou at Tailor Maid Studio (ARCH ENEMY, DARK TRANQUILLITY, DIMMU BORGIR, etc.).

The ICS VORTEX line-up reads as follows:

ICS Vortex - Vocals (ex DIMMU BORGIR, BORKNAGAR, ARCTURUS)
Asgeir Mickelson - Drums (SARKE, SPIRAL ARCHITECT, ex BORKNAGAR, ex TESTAMENT)
Terje "Cyrus" Andersen - Guitar (SUSPERIA, ex SATYRICON, ex DIMMU BORGIR)
Jens F. Ryland - Guitar (BORKNAGAR)
