After all the great experiences we made on the "Cursed Reunion" so far, the time is now come to have a closer look at the past 18 months of MORGOTH's comeback, which has successfully re-connected us with many old friends as well as also a lot of new fans... Summer Breeze and Brutal Assault marked the last two festival appearances which we had scheduled as part of this long journey through time. This reunion has been an amazing run, truly full of awesome experiences which we will cherish for a very long time. Our songs are about 20 years old by now and even though we had been absent from stages for about 13 of those years, we nevertheless managed to once again set free the raw energy of our classic Death Metal style in a powerful way. Our initial concept was to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the "Cursed" album's release for only one summer season. This now ended up being almost 2 eventful years, if you consider that the reunion's preparation already started around November 2010. During this return, we thankfully also managed to visit several countries where we originally had never managed to play. We are happy and proud for this awesome opportunity! After all this recent action, we have now decided to take things slower again to be able to review the reunion on a more personal level and then to be able to gain some distance from things before deciding upon our next steps with the band. By playing two final club-shows in Berlin and Essen in early November, we intend to finish off the "Cursed Reunion" cycle with a personal vibe and a more intimate atmosphere. We are sure it will be a hot and loud farewell, so we are really looking forward to your participation! We are hearing that the pre-sales for these gigs are moving forwards quite quickly, so better hurry up and order your tickets! In December we will then further celebrate 'our own final journey to hell' by taking part of the Barge To Hell cruise in the Caribbean, where we are set to commence our "time-off" in great style ;-) However, we would like to stress that we don't categorically rule out the possibility for some little bit/s of live-activity also in 2013. "Never say never"...just like this whole "Cursed Reunion" will have already clearly demonstrated! By the way, a heavy load of MORGOTH can be obtained on the "Cursed To Live" live-release that is available since June as DVD and Live-CD/LP, documenting the "Cursed Reunion" for all eternity. We are especially proud of the DVD, not only because it is a first one for us, but also because we had never initially planned to make any type of release as part of this reunion...but somehow and luckily, things happened to work out just great in the end! MORGOTH's first ever live release "Cursed To Live" is off the leash!!! The album marks a milestone of the band's still ongoing celebration of the classic album "Cursed". MORGOTH - doubtlessly the most influential German death metal band ever - reunited in 2011 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Cursed" and since then the band has played numerous shows packed with all the many highlights of their two EPs, "Cursed" and "Odium". On June 25th 2012 the curse shall be fulfilled. The release of MORGOTH'S first-ever live release "Cursed To Live", the band's celebration of the 20th anniversary of their all-time classic album "Cursed", has been just recently announced. In order to give all you worshippers and dedicated followers of death metal a first glimpse into what's to come, the band has just launched a video clip of the track "Isolated" (Live at Way Of Darkness festival 2011) on Century Media's Youtube channel. Following 2011's comeback celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of their classic "Cursed" album by successfully appearing at prestigious festival events like Wacken, Party.San or Hellfest, Germany's seminal Death Metal act MORGOTH are happy to commence a new, next year of activities in 2012.
MORGOTH have already announced a while ago to be returning to North American ground by appearing at Baltimore's acclaimed Maryland Deathfest on May 27th, 2012. Furthermore, the band has recently confirmed to also perform at Neurotic Deathfest (The Netherlands), Brutal Assault (Czech Republic) as well as the following events in Germany: Winternachtstraum (Arnsberg), Walpurgis Metal Dayz (Passau), Rock Harz (Ballenstedt) and Summer Breeze (Dinkelsb�hl).
Next to that string of live-shows, MORGOTH have additionally confirmed to be currently working on their career's first-ever live-release, which is being mixed in Sweden right now by Dan Swan� at Unisound Studio (Opeth, Dissection, Bloodbath, etc.). An international release date is expected for the summer of 2012 via Century Media Records.
The band checked in commenting on their current activity as follows:

With the news of a reunion of Germany's seminal Death Metal act MORGOTH in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of their classic "Cursed" album spreading, the anticipation and excitement regarding their comeback to stages continues to grow. The band comments as follows: "We are happy to announce Marc Reign as the one who will be handling the drum duties during our shows for the 20th anniversary of the release of the "Cursed" album. During the rehearsals we felt very quickly that Marc would fit perfectly to us as his punch and timing are incredible! Welcome aboard!" Marc Reign added the following: "In 1990 when I was a teenage kid into Death Metal I went to a MORGOTH Show (with Demolition Hammer and Obituary) at Berlin's 'Ecstasy' and was amazed by the fact that the German Death Metal formation MORGOTH could compete with the American scene bands. When 20 years later Mille of Kreator introduced me to those guys it was totally clear to me what I wanted to do: Going back to my Death Metal roots and jam the hell out!
