Triptykon: : Tom Gabriel Warrior comments on Rock Hard Festival headlining show; Death Mask Sculpture to be featured in group exhibition

TRIPTYKON, the group formed by former Hellhammer/Celtic Frost singer, guitarist, and main songwriter Tom Gabriel Warrior, will headline the prestigious Rock Hard Festival in Gelsenkirchen (Germany) this Friday, June 10, 2011.

Tom Gabriel Warrior: <i>"It is an immense honor and a privilege to be asked back to perform at the Rock Hard Festival, especially given my previous band Celtic Frost's extremely regrettable inability to fulfil its earlier commitment to the festival.

The Rock Hard Festival is an event unlike any other in the scene, both due to the audience and those behind the festival. We will pay homage to that fact with TRIPTYKON by playing a concert which has never been performed before and, in this form, will likely never be repeated again."</i>

TRIPTYKON will also do a signing session at the festival on June 10, 2011 from 19:00 to 19:45 CET.

TRIPTYKON released its critically praised album "Eparistera Daimones" and follow-up EP "Shatter" in 2010 via Century Media Records, under exclusive license from Prowling Death Records Ltd.! The group is currently working on a second album and a number of further projects.

TRIPTYKON will be performing live at the following festivals this summer:
June 10, 2011 Gelsenkirchen, Germany - Rock Hard Festival
June 18, 2011 Clisson, France - Hellfest
June 25, 2011 Dessel, Belgium - Graspop Festival
July 2, 2011 Nijmegen, NL - Fortarock Festival
July 9, 2011 Neskaupstadur, Iceland - Eistnaflug Festival
August 11, 2011 Schlotheim, Germany - Party San Open Air
August 12, 2011 Derby, UK - Bloodstock Open Air
August 13, 2011 Jaromer-Josefov, Czech Republic - Brutal Assault Festival

In related news, the acclaimed "Antecedent Death" death mask sculptures created by Tom Gabriel Warrior will be part of "Terminus", a group exhibition featuring a spectacular international cast of artists. The exhibition will be held at Galerie Villa Mainau 34, in Zurich, Switzerland.

Among the artists participating in "Terminus" are: Sibylle Ruppert, Ryszard Wojtynski, Viktor Koen, Jason D'Aquino, Eli Livingston, Jose Manuel Schmill, John U. Abrahamson, Paul Rumsey, Philippe Druillet, Annie Bertram, HR Giger, and others. The exhibition is being curated by Les Barany, Marco Witzig, and Hans Kunz.

The opening of "Terminus" will take place on Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 17:00 to 20:00 CET, and the exhibition will run until Saturday, July 16, 2011.
Triptykon: : "Shatter" Video Released; EP out October 25th, 2010!

Triptykon, the highly acclaimed extreme metal group formed by former Hellhammer/Celtic Frost singer/guitarist Tom Gabriel Warrior, have captured the visual side of their deeply dark and mesmerizing art in the group's first video clip, "Shatter", to accompany the title track of Triptykon's new 5-track EP (released on October 25, 2010, through Prowling Death Records/Century Media Records).

Based on a concept devised by Warrior and directed and filmed by Philipp Hirsch of Film-M (<a href="http://www.film-m.de" target="blank">www.film-m.de</a>) in Leipzig, Germany, in late September 2010, the video clip combines the imagery of occult metal with the somber aesthetics of 1920s-era silent movies.

The video clip can be now seen here:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrRi25jZRFY" target="blank">www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrRi25jZRFY</a>

A preview trailer for the clip is also available at this location:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4g0WumlTRek" target="blank">www.youtube.com/watch?v=4g0WumlTRek</a>

At a playing time of approximately 28 minutes, the "Shatter" EP will consist almost entirely of previously unreleased music. The EP's track listing is as follows:

1. Shatter
2. I Am The Twilight
3. Crucifixus
4. Circle Of The Tyrants (Live)
5. Dethroned Emperor (Live)

Tracks 1, 2 and 3 were recorded during the "Eparistera Daimones" album sessions in 2009. "Crucifixus" appears in a newly mixed and mastered version. Tracks 4 and 5 are cover versions of Celtic Frost songs, recorded live during Triptykon's headliner performance at the Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, The Netherlands, on April 16, 2010. "Dethroned Emperor" features guest lead vocals by Nocturno Culto of Darkthrone/Sarke.

Triptykon's "Shatter" EP will be available as CD, digital download, and 12" vinyl (at 33? rpm). The EP will further contain the lyrics to all songs as well as detailed liner notes and credits.
