Finland's best export in dark melodic death metal is proud to announce live activites for 2013: "We're happy to announce that Insomnium will embark for one more European tour to promote One For Sorrow album. This time we'll join our forces with mighty Moonspell and visit many countries that were left out 2011-2012 including France and Spain (see full routing below). We're excited and honored to share the stage with Moonspell, which is one of the pioneer bands of darkened gothic metal. Book your tickets in time to be sure to witness Insomnium live this year before we enter studio to record follow up for One For Sorrow." INSOMNIUM and Century Media Records also just released a couple of live recordings. In order to celebrate the label's 25th anniversary Century Media released 25 selected classic albums as special editions for a low price during their annual Metal For The Masses (MFTM) campaign. Each album is wrapped in a special o-card with a flap cover that holds an extra CD containing rare live material. Insomnium: : launch new video for "Regain The Fire"

INSOMNIUM's fifth album "One For Sorrow" was one of the Metal highlights of 2011, a perfect blend of melancholy and melody. Now 'Finland's finest miserablists' (as Terrorizer described them) present the second video "Regain The Fire" at the dawn of their UK tour start with PARADISE LOST in April. Same as the first video "Through The Shadows", the video was produced by their Finnish friends of Obscure Entertainment from Tampere. INSOMNIUM present the first promo video "Through The Shadows" from their upcoming album "One For Sorow". Vocalist and bassist Niilo Sev�nen comments: "We're very happy to announce the first video premiere for "One For Sorrow". The track is "Through The Shadows", written by Ville Friman, who also sings the chorus with me. We collaborated again with our good friends from Obscure Entertainment from Tampere, Finland. Finland is an evocative land. The very mention of it conjures visions of endless darkness, long, cold wintery nights and an almost oppressive bleakness. It is within this icy cauldron that the soul of INSOMNIUM was born. Their music is as epic as it is melodic, as melancholic as it is majestic and as brutal as it is beautiful. To call INSOMNIUM a Death Metal band is to do them a grave disservice. The upcoming album "One for Sorrow" is such an amalgamation of styles that pigeonholing them into a single category would be to rob the band of its true complexity and ignore the very essence of its sound. Recalling art-metal titans Cult of Luna at one turn and brutal visionaries Amon Amarth at others, "One for Sorrow" displays the true musical breadth of a band that has clearly come into its own on this, their debut album for Century Media. Founding members Markus Hirvonen (drums), Ville Friman (guitars) and Niilo Sev�nen (vocals and bass) added guitarist Ville V�nni to the band for the release of their Candlelight debut in 2001. Throughout the following decade, the band went on to release four more highly acclaimed albums, the most recent of which, 2009's Across the Dark, entered the Finnish album charts at #5. Along the way, they picked up a couple of awards in their homeland for Best Band and Best Album. In the spring of 2011, INSOMNIUM entered the studio to record what would become "One for Sorrow". While drums, bass, keyboards and vocals were recorded in Finland and guitars in Gothenburg, Sweden, the album has a remarkable cohesiveness and clarity of sound. Since their first album in 2002 INSOMNIUM developed to one of the most promising and unique Melodic Death Metal bands. In 2010 they've been honored with the Finnish Metal Award for Best Band and Best Album ("Across The Dark", 2009). Shortly before their 2010 tour with Dark Tranquillity they recorded the new track "Weather The Storm" with Mikael Stanne on guest vocals and performed the song together in London on September 28th.
