Israel's leading metal band ORPHANED LAND teamed up with Metal.de to debut the super atmospheric video for the upcoming single "Brother" today. This song is an amazing ballad telling a very interesting story about one of the basic problems in different religious believes that singer Kobi Farhi explains in detail below. The single "Brother" will also be available from June 10th on all digital outlets and is taken from the upcoming new album "All Is One", that surfaces on June 24th in Europe (June 25th USA). The lyrics on "Brother" are coming along with the video, but below you also find the detailed explanation of the story behind this wonderful song: "This is a song that Itshak is singing to his brother Ishmael. According to the bible, they were both the sons of Abraham from two different mothers. Today, Itshak is known as the father of the Israeli nation while Ishmael known as the father of the Arab nation. Historically, that means of course that it's a historical fact that Israelis and Arabs are brothers and we believe that the deepest source for our actual conflict still lies there, between the two brothers. Both sides today are so focused on being right in the conflict and fill themselves with hate. Every side is so busy with being the victim and today it doesn't make sense to either one of the side that we are historically brothers. People forgot it, forgot that our language are alike, as well as our names and history. An interesting is that on the Jewish bible there is a story where Abraham took Itshak to the mountain to sacrifice him to God. Muslims have the same exact story, but on their version it was Ishmael on the mountain, everyone shape history according to his own version and we have conflicts even on that oldest stories, just as if we were two kids in a fight. And therefore there is a line in the song says: "The lord blessed us both, but we still fight and claim, that kid on the mountain - what was his name" Brother is a love song for a forgotten beloved brother who turned to be a blood enemy. In anticipation of their upcoming release, Israel's ORPHANED LAND have premiered a new lyrical video for the song "Let The Truce Be Known", taken from the band's new 6th studio album, "All Is One", which will surface on June 24th (June 25th USA) via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS. Singer Kobi Farhi explains about the story behind "Let The Truce Be Known": "The main inspiration for the story behind the song lies with the famous World War 1 story called "The Christmas Truce". We were simply blown away from that story. From the way that those holyday songs were the trigger to bring the enemies to co-exist and celebrate together as brothers for one night in No Man's Land. The next day they just got back to bomb and kill each other. It is an outstanding story that shows us the eternal hope of mankind, the power of music and the tragedy that despite all of that - evil still prevails." Orphaned Land: : new album in June!

ORPHANED LAND, the pioneers of oriental metal music and warriors of light are in the final process of recording their long awaited new album. This release is the band's 6th full length and marks another big step forward, it is the logical evolution from the last studio release "The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR". The title of the new album will be "All Is One" and it surfaces on June 24th (USA June 25th), 2013! Singer Kobi Farhi explains the material as follows: ""I'll say it plain and simple - "All Is One" is ORPHANED LAND's best album so far, I feel that we took all aspects to a new level - the way we write, arrange, play and produce. We recorded the album in 3 countries (Turkey, Sweden & Israel) and it turned out so strong, we can't stop listening to it. The album is very rich in sound with more than 40 people participating (choirs, violins, and many traditional instruments, too). Our secret recipe was always the fact that unlike many other bands, ORPHANED LAND doesn't follow ONE master mind that writes everything, we work in a way that All Is One. We create our music in a perfect blend of synergy and harmony and all the band members are a part of this process, we translate the album's title and message exactly in the way we work, and we always hope we could give a bit of an inspiration to the people in the tragic Middle Eastern lands. ORPHANED LAND are one of the most respected and loved musicians over the entire globe, a band that dedicates their existence to the world language of metal music and cross-cultural understanding. While not overtly political, ORPHANED LAND are nevertheless proud of creating a reality of coexistence that has escaped politicians and peacemakers alike. Orphaned Land: : receive Turkish peace award! Kobi Farhi curates "Oriental Metal" compilation!

While playing several shows in Turkey at the end of February, Israeli Oriental Metal ambassadors ORPHANED LAND received The Friendship and Peace Award from the Turkish government despite the two countries having no diplomatic relations at the moment underlining the fact that music is stronger than any political or religious struggles. Vocalist Kobi Farhi details: "We always knew that our efforts for peace in the Middle East and between the 3 religions are highly appreciated but we were so surprised that we got contacted by the secretary of Turkey's Prime Minister's advisor Mr. Huseyin Tugcu. He contacted our manager in Turkey and we met him in Ankara on February 24th. He gave us an amazing peace award, with the flags of Turkey and Israel as well as the symbols of Judaism and Islam, both carried by a dove of peace (check the photos). Mr. Tugcu explained that despite the political conflict between the countries his country appreciates ORPHANED LAND as a great friend to Turkey and he wanted also to thank us for donating our Istanbul show income to the victims of the devastating Van earthquake last year. Our tour in Turkey was amazing, supported by a great audience as always and it is for a good reason that Turkey is always described as ORPHANED LAND's second home. Once again we have proven that music stands above politics, above conflicts, and we ORPHANED LAND, a metal band from Israel are literally the unofficial ambassadors of Israel in the Arab world and Turkey.
